Arizona Falun Dafa Association (AFDA) is a non-profit 501 c(3) public charity. Its members are volunteers who practice Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong). Falun Dafa is a peaceful, spiritual practice that follows the principles of truthfulness, benevolence, and forbearance. It is a practice that is popular around the world in nearly every major city and country.
AFDA organizes activities throughout the State of Arizona. These activities are designed to accomplish the following objectives:
To raise public awareness of the practice of Falun Dafa, a mind and body cultivation system guided by the 3 core principles of truthfulness, benevolence and forbearance and its 5 sets of gentle exercises and meditation,
To promote grassroots efforts aimed at ending the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in China that continues even today.

In early 2008, the Foundation booked the Dodge Theater in downtown Phoenix for an inspiring Shen Yun performance that was well-received by a delighted audience from all walks of life. Due to the success of this show, the Foundation brought Shen Yun back to Phoenix in 2009 for three outstanding shows at the Arizona State University (ASU) Gammage Theater.
